Hello all, I am living in a campus dorm where they don't allow wireless router and I am constantly using my iPhone for email and sometimes youtube. Using EDGE is ok, but it is slow at times, and apparently there is no 3G service indoors. Is it possible to create a Ad Hoc network from my MacBook to give it access wirelessly?

Yes you can but some wireless companies consider this a violation of their terms of service. Let me see if I can find a simple write up for you since you're in a dorm 😉

Or do you mean you wish to use the iPhone as a WiFi router for your computer to access the internet?
