Yeah, love 'em. I've been listening since the early 80s. Began with Red Rocks, then a friend turned me on to Boy. I read a great book entitled Walk On (http://www.amazon.com/Walk-Spiritual-Journey-Steve-Stockman/dp/0976035758/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1224293594&sr=1-2) that covers the band's life as a Christian and political group. It made their music all the more meaningful to me.

Nice.

I have seen them live dozens of times.
Can't wait for the new album coming in a few months.

Yup.

I've got 6 albums, and the Live from Slane DVD. I think they're really good to watch perform - their music is good, but they can also really connect with an audience.

Me hopes they'll be touring next year as the rumours indicate. I'd love to have a chance to see them live.

I read U2 By U2, which was neat to hear about how they came together and got started as well what went into/behind the scenes of some of my favourite albums.

Have Boy through Achtung Baby, but not complete after that. iTunes is a blessing, because I have purchased individual tunes and video.

I think Bill Bailey (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EDuK46ZqFM) can sum up my thoughts on U2 far more effectively than I ever could :D

Love the band. I have every album that was ever available on iTunes. The latest round of remasters I have bought the CDs for.

I have some incredible memories, especially the Live at Redrocks concert. Somewhere I still have the ticket stub for that one and the Joshua Tree concert at the old no longer there McNichols Arena. It was sold out but my dad had managed to find a pair of tickets for me and my brother to go. This was the tour : http://www.u2gigs.com/show869.html

The spy plane or the band? Actually, I love both but have only seen the plane live.

My friend's dad is a ridiculous U2 fan. He's extremely wealthy, and he owns every U2 album/single/video/et cetera twice over (he has like one copy for listening and another for keeping in the packaging and never opening). He travels around the US and sometimes across the pond when he can going to U2 concerts, and he's jumped the fence at Bono's mansion not once...not twice...but three times, and taken rocks. He keeps one of the rocks he took from his manson in his pocket at all times, and another in a drawer by his bed. He's obviously met the band many times, and he has a ******** of memorabilia, like signed posters, et cetera. He's pretty ridiculous.

^^ Yeah, you can go overboard with anything. I like they're music, and I do think they're lyrics are more intellectual than most other bands', but I'm not obsessed with them.

Have seen them about 10 times, own dozens of bootlegs, took my kids to see the IMAX-3D movie, and can't wait for the new album. The only group from my era that has continued to evolve and grow gracefuly.

That was a great performance; they have more of a raw edge playing live, no pun intended. I taped it at the time but can't find it now. Great version of I Will Follow, and Vertigo was more powerful than usual.

Have all the albums, alot of the singles, all of the concert DVDs, and various other bits and pieces, was at the Live in Sydney concert in 93, good thing i went to that one as the other concert had Adam "sick" or if you read the media reports "pissed off & quitting", also been to every tour since moving to the Denver in 99, did the pre/post 9/11 concerts here as well. Missed the PopMart tour as I got back into Sydney a day or two after the concert. Nuts!

My intro to U2 was seeing the music video for Where The Streets... at my grandmothers farm in 87 (had 2 tv channels), don't know if I had ever heard anything of theirs prior to that moment but from then on I was hooked. Got the Joshua Tree on tape, then got it as my very first cd, only cd player we had was in my dads car so I would occasionally go out and listen to Where The Streets in the car :).

Some of the newer stuff at first hasn't been great but then over time i got used to the sound and don't mind the change, to be honest, it isn't real easy to write songs about the problems in your homeland when those problems don't really exist any more. The world changed, they changed, keep it simple and make sure you sound great.

The U23D movie was very enjoyable. Will give them kudos for going with it, they realize that not everyone can go see them ($$$ wise) live but the 3D movie was a pretty close representation for not much cash. My wife who isnt much of a fun (more no opinion either way) enjoyed it immensley.
