Only the online apple store sells the 2.8Ghz ? Or are there any other places where you can buy them in the USA?

I think you'll only be able to get it online from Apple because it's a BTO option. Seems like they'd be hard to find in a brick & mortar apple store as well.

2.8 is CTO so no retailers will get them, apple store is your only option.

Today I pull the trigger and ordered it from MacMall and besides that they have them, you can buy it without paying taxes depending on the state where you are. Also you get some good mail-in rebate deals, I also bought Parallels.
