HI folks,

i am pretty new with apple and i am about to buy a macbook air from a craigslist. When i checked the hard drive props it said that the hard drive capacity is around 60Gb (cant remember exactly).

The owner says that it is the 1st generation cheapest model (speed 1.6ghz and 80Gb hard drive) and it must be becouse she paid around $2000 taxes included but if it is that one i was expecting a capacity of 74Gb.

How could i know if it is the SS hard drive or the 80gb one.

Thanks in advance

Keep in mind that OS X and stuff takes up almost 20GB of HD.

Close all windows and right click on the "McIntosh HD" -->Get info.

What seemed weird to me was that it said 10Gb free of 60 Gb. Could it be that there is a partition or something for the system?.

Normaly, for the 80Gb macbook air what is the capacity listed when you go to "get info"from the hard drive?

No it isn't. It's 74.4GB, also, (s)he is probably saying the free space on the drive...
