Lately, I just use my notebook at home.
I decided to use the notebook without the battery and only with the adapter for power.
Will this extend the iBook's battery life or will it be the same if I use it on a daily basis?

make sure that you use your battery at least once every month. lion batteries can go stale if left out of use for too long.
but, you won't hurt it much leaving it in your laptop.

I just got my iBook back from Apple (logic board replacement) and they didn't send the battery, so I now know a couple things about using an iBook without the battery. The battery is needed for support. It is one of the corners of the computer. Without it the computer will wobble as you type. The case will also flex. For those reasons alone I wouldn't run it without the battery.

Hi,
Your battery question is often discussed in ipod fora. Like here: http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=19556
The general idea is, IF you want to store a Li-Ion bat. try to use it till it's on 40% and store is at cold as possible. (within normal behaviour, so don't freeze it)
Otherwise try some googling on storing Lithium Ion batteries.
It is generally said that Li-I batteries have no memory, but they tend to fade as they are stored at warmer places.
Mind you, im not a battery tech, nor am i a great scientist. This is what i've read on various fora concerning battery care.
