I'm trying to figure out what kind of hard drive comes in the new MBP by default. I know its a 320GB 5,400RPM drive, but does anyone have any insight into the brand/model?
I'd REALLY prefer the 7,200RPM drive, but if this happens to be the Western Digital Scorpio drive, then I'd be fine with it because of its performance benchmarks.
Any input/thoughts?

If i remember correctly, before I swapped it out, it was a Fujitsu. Most likely

In the brand new MBP's? You already swapped out the drive?

I am probably going to do the same. I was thinking about putting one of the Samsung 9.5mm 500GB hard drives in it (since it is now very easy to upgrade). Then use the stock 250GB HD in an external enclosure.

WD3200BJKT? WDC offers the Scorpio Black in either 'with free-fall sensor' or 'without free-fall sensor'. I'm looking for the 'with free-fall sensor' model.
Is your 320GB drive pretty quiet?

Get the one without the free fall sensor as I've heard drives that have them interfere with the built-in sensor.
Also it's very quiet, the fans are definitely louder.
