Are you editing the main file every time with the name of the theme you're using? By main file, I mean the one you had to edit initially to add your location. I don't know a whole lot about the widget (I installed it, it showed up and worked sometimes, but didn't update every 35 minutes like it should, so I stopped using it), but that seems like a place where someone might get tripped up.

The recent Winterboard update broke the weatherwidget. In any case, you can not use it with a theme that uses a wallpaper.html file.
A possible workaround - When you try to run it with another theme, are you getting icons but no wallpaper? If so, copy your wallpaper.png file to the weatherwidget theme directory. It should then display along with the widget.

As he said. Get the application WbApp from Cydia. It allows you to use the weather widget with any theme and you can totally change the weather widget up without needing to SSH into the phone and change script. It is a great application. You can change the position of the widget to anywhere on the screen, the toolbars etc all with a toggle. Check it out. Makes the whole process painless. :D

Another vote for WbApp. It's fantastic!
There is no need at all for SSH, and it works on the fly. :)

Isn't it a great feeling when you ask for help and actually get it?
Wish that would work for everybody...

See at the top right, where it says, "Hide Kybd/Selector"?
Click on that.

No problem. And no need to feel dumb. It took me a little while to figure it out too.
IMHO, it's not very inuitive. It is awesome though, if you know how to use it! :)

Yup, not just your opinion, mine too :D - I was already in the process of fixing that - new v0.84 uses "Done" key and new toolbar above selection wheel.

Well I started this thread to make some mods to the home screen and this is the finished product. Thanks to all who helpped.

Everytime I try to change the placement of the weather on the home screen it doesn't change. I hit save then respring but it just stays in the default spot. I'm trying to get it on the fourth row above the dock but I can't seem to get the changes to work. What am I doing wrong?

Actually, I noticed that. Again, very nice work. I'm definitely a fan.

For placement on the home screen, adjust the selector wheel with the blue writing. It's the one on the left. The one on the right (red writing), is for positioning on the lock screen.

Ok I wasn't hitting select after I choose which position I wanted. I do have another question though. How can I change the icons for weather and get the time and date on the wallpaper?

Iconset - either 'klear' icons are on or if off then 'tango' icons are used.
No time and date availble - you'll need to use a different approach then WbApp provides. (manual ssh, edit and upload your own theme)
Edit: Sorry but I have to ask, the only other buttons available are 'Cancel" or 'Clear', which one did you use (other than 'Select', that is)? This will help me develop more intuitive apps - thanks!
