I validated my CSS for a website I am doing. I had a few errors on the page. My questions is, the validator said its not valid in CSS 2.1, but it is valid in CSS 3. How do I make my CSS file CSS3. Is there some kind of DOC Type like on the HTML page?

This is where developer knowledge has to take over. Since CSS 3 support is not widespread, the validator doesn't consider it good. As long as you know it's valid code, and realize what browsers will behave differently, then you'll be OK. Also, if you click on More Options at this CSS validator you can see you can set the profile to CSS 3. There's no CSS doctype that I'm familiar with.

I figured there wasn't any kind of doc type, but I had to ask. I found it weird that it would say it wasnt valid but it knew it was valid in CSS 3
