Hey guys,

I'm in a bit of a dilemma here. I have the opportunity to "trade in" (read: sell) my 1.83GHz Core Duo Mac Mini and 20" Apple Cinema Display for a brand new $1299 Macbook.

I've been wanting to get something portable for a while now, as I used an older Macbook Pro for a good 8-9 months by itself and regret ever getting rid of it. The downside is I LOVE my ACD--it's quite simply the most gorgeous monitor (both panel and design) that I've ever had the privilege to use. It might be tough going back to soley a laptop display.

What would you do? These new Macbooks are very impressive, and I'd love to get onboard. Portability is a strong pull here. Thoughts?

MacBook has an awful display. Keep that in mind when you choose.

Save some money, sell the Mini and buy a MacBook to replace it. Keep the screen and use it with the Macbook in clamshell mode.
