hi all
My friend have sent macbook air to me, but the USB device doesn't work at all, whenever I plug memory stick or ipod cable in, nothinh happensit's doesn't find any device, a d

no it's impossible, so there is other way? maybe problem with usb driver? or? :(:apple:

+1 ^^^ I wouldn't recommend a self-diagnosis on a $2,000 MBA. It's still under warranty at least through February '09...:(

Yeah, especially considering the fact the MBAs cannot really be opened up as easily as other machines. OP: Definitely sent it to Apple if you can.

The Air has only 10 screws on the bottom, and all the inerds are visible. I took mine apart a couple of times, its not hard.
The prob could be a loose cable. when you open the door to reveal the USB port the cable moves, you'll see it when you open the door with the bottom off. You could use a multi meter, and plug in a USB cable, or just test the USB port for power, at least you can eliminate 1 problem (power).
