I read that if you jailbreak your phone, and try to restore it, then the files from the jailbreak remain on the hard drive. Is it possible to delete them?
Also, what does DFU Restore do?

You could restore then use Erase All Content and Settings. There is ZERO way the Genius Bar will see the jailbreak.
More details? Which iPhone and which method did you use to jailbreak?
