If anybody is interested in replacing the ipod icon in the iphone with the separate Music and Videos icon from the ipod touch, I edited the plist file to do it right. I couldn't find it available for 2.1. It was available in installer in firmware 1.14 but I couldn't find anybody who had done it for 2.1.
If there's interest in this, I'll post the plist.

That would be so awesome!
Could you please post the plist.
I was trying to figure out a way to do something like that for the phone. I want keypad/contacts/recents to all be there own icons and to open to the matching page in phone.app

Contact the guys at Cydia so you can upload your patch to them. That way the patch can appear in Cydia for easier distribution.

I thought there were rules against changing files in the filesystem on cydia, that's why I didn't post it that way. Here's the file zipped. Remember to backup the original.
Don't forget to rename this one to info.plist

Assumptions are not always the best. Contact them, the worst that can happen is they saying no. You have all for win and nothing to lose.
