I'm trying to scan and import directly into photoshop CS3 with my Canon MP530 printer/scanner. I just recently upgraded to Leopard. When I try to import I don't get the "WIA Support" option and can't import. What's going on? Is it Leopard that's making this happen? Do I need to install a new driver? Help!

I don't know about CS3, but I found this on another forum:
"In CS4, the TWAIN plug-in is not installed by default anymore because of the many problem it can cause with poorly written scanner drivers. If you don't mind running the risks of constant crashes, you can install the TWAIN plug-in from the Optional plug-ins folder, but you do so at your own risk.
Scanning outside of Photoshop, either with the scanner's stand-alone software or a utility like VueScan or $ilverfa$t is smarter and more efficient. There's very little point in tying up an expensive piece of software like Photoshop to do such grunt work as scanning."

Don't know about WIA, but I have Leopard and the Canon MP610 and can scan directly with Photoshop CS3. Photoshop>File>Import>Canon MP610 Series. Can't remember if I had to update the driver with Leopard, but that would have been the first thing I'd try if it didn't work. (And it's possible the scanner driver was a separate update from the printer driver.)
