I have a macbook air, and I have run out of room for all of my videos. I want to store some of the videos on an external hard drive, so that when I plug the hard drive in I have access to the files on the external drive, but when I don't I can access the files that are on the actual computer. Is there an easy way to do this and still have itunes organize the files?

Put the files on the external drive. Drag them from the external to itunes while holding the option key. Drop the file in itunes then release option. Files will be organized in iTunes just as if they were on your HD, but they will be stored on the external.
