Bluetooth headphones causing slow wireless?

Hi all,

I'm having a strange issue where once I pair up my bluetooth headphones with my MBA, my wireless connection slows down dramatically. Anyone else notice this? I found the following article which mentions this but was wondering if anyone else has encountered this.
