View Full Version : Any monitor recommendations?

I'm using a black Macbook for work and prefer to use an external monitor/keyboard/mouse when I'm in the office. I'm staring at this thing for 8 hours a day so I'm looking for a good monitor that'll be easy on the eyes. The current monitor I'm using, a Dell 19", makes the smaller text a bit fuzzy thanks to OS X's font smoothing so I'd want a display that will look as good as the Macbook's. I'm looking at something in the 20"-22" widescreen range.

Any recommendations? Cheaper is better; I'd just buy a Cinema Display and be done with it but I can't convince myself to part with $599 when I suspect there's something just as good out there for a lot less.

I hope this question isn't asked to death - I did a search and didn't see a lot of specifically related results.

Any of the current 22" Samsung monitors are great IMO.

I personally went with this one (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8400456&type=product&id=1179877503230) and love it.

How's the colors and smaller fonts on it? I'm not real impressed with the 19" I have right now (not widescreen) and the colors aren't what I'd like them to be.
