Boxee image quality/color is garbage...help

I am running boxee on my macbook pro and have it hooked up to my vizio tv. The video's run fine in vlc, quicktime, etc. but when I go into boxee to watch a movie, all the movies come up purple looking

Any help?

hat graphic card are you using? ATI?

this is a known issue with ATI cards (Radeon X1600) you can try this not 100% sure it will work :

create this file
~/Library/Application Support/BOXEE/UserData/advancedsettings.xml

and paste this inside:

<advancedsettings>
<glrectanglehack>yes</glrectanglehack>
</advancedsettings>

close and restarted boxee

yeah i tried that, unfortunately it doesn't work. guess i can't use boxee :(
