Hey guys iI need some help with the wireless CD sharing,

Im trying to install Vista on my Macbook Air via the CD sharing off my Macbook

I have everything set up, and my Air is reading the optical drive on my macbook, but when I get to bootcamp and attempt to install it says "no CD is found, please insert..."

Can sombody help me? I called Apple and asked for help but the rep didnt know niether did the specialist and suggested me to book an appointment with a genius at a Apple store

Thanks in Advance!!

Cheers

Edit:

After roaming through google, I think I have found the reason why I couldnt install - it may be that the CD is actually copy protected, so that it wont read?? Anybody know whether this is true?

If I'm understanding your approach correctly, you are trying to install Vista via Remote Disk?
If this is so, you won't be able to install Vista since using Boot Camp on the MacBook Air requires that you have the external SuperDrive, with the Vista disc loaded, connected.

Hey Andrewnewyen

Yah thats what I was afraid off, I suppose Apple care and the "specialist" didnt know about this

I booked an appointment to see a genius this coming Saturday hopfully he will let me "borrow" their superdrive and install vista haha if not than I suppose I might have to give in and buy the superdrive or just stick with iWork which i literally hate using! as the only reason why i want vista is because of Office as I dont want to spend $200 on office 2008 for Mac esp not after spening $2100 on the Air
