VPN Connection - View Network Shared Computers? Help

Hi,

I'm trying to connect to my iMac at work from my MacBook at home via my VPN connection. I was expecting to see it in finder under shared (like when I'm at work i can see other iMac's on the network).

Any ideas how to do this?

Just a suggestion: To get a useful response, you may wish to give a bit more info about your setup.

Are both machines using the same OS X version?
BTW, what version is that?
Are you using third-party VPN software (http://sourceforge.net/projects/cotvnc/) for Tiger?

If you are using Leopard, perhaps this thread (http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=81172) will be helpful.

BTW, I can access my iMac running Tiger from my iPhone with Mocha VPN.
