View Full Version : Beyond tired of searching. So ****** pissed.

So I found the sound files I was looking for earlier last week (specifically the sonar alert from the blackberry) but I couldn't get into my phone's file system. So after trying for a loooong time I finally gave up and deleted the files.

This morning I found a really good guide and was finally able to SSH into my phone. So I go to download the sonar alert.... NOWHERE to be ******* found . I even tried Limewire out of desperation. No dice.

If anybody has this in an mp3 or a link to where I can find it I'll be eternally grateful.

If you want I can see if i can get the actual ringtone off my dad's blackberry. Do you know if it comes on all models or a specific one?

I know for certain that it's on the Pearl and the Curve. I've never touched any of the others.

Why don't you just make them into ring tones and put them on the phone via itunes? :confused:

First of all, you have to have the file to do that. If you read the original post, you'll see I deleted them.

Second, I don't want it as a ringtone. I'm using SSH to replace one of the SMS tones with the sonar ping.

It has a link to all the stock blackberry sounds, I've never had a blackberry so I don't know if they're accurate but the download works and there is a file called sonar.

I see you found it, but I did the exact same thing. I'm using the Blackberry Sonar as my SMS tone.

Okay dude. I like, TOTALLY overreacted n stuff...

Anyway it actually ended up being my mail alert since it was a little on the quiet side.

Okay I'm jailbroken with my 3GS and came to this thread to get the tone again but the file isn't there anymore.

Anybody have it and want to share? I'll be as grateful as I was last time! :D

Damn dude. I didn't read the timestamps and you got all me all pumped up to hear this SMS alert. I thought it was going to be the most amazing SMS alert I've ever heard. Then I found out that its not there anymore.

Edit: By the way, are these (http://www.zedge.net/ringtones/1552/rim-blackberry-8820-ringtones/0-5-0-1-sonar/) what you were looking for?
