Hi all. I am new to this forum and am interested in making the switch to mac.
I am looking into macbooks and macbook pros. This would primarily be used for internet/email, some music, managing/editing photos and possibly for home videos in the future. Occasionally I will use it to run DICOM programs from CDs. I would like the laptop to be fairly portable. Do you all think the 2.0 GHz macbook would be okay for what I need it for? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
J

Welcome to the forum.

Everything you list can be done with ease on a macbook - unless video editing means more than simple editing.

If you are going to render/convert videos, apply effects and so on then even a macbook pro maybe too short.
