Noise when Aluminum macbook start up

Hi, can anyone clarify this for me, is it normal when I press the power button to start up the new aluminum macbook, it has a machinery noise? It is normal right?

Mine does, its the CD drive checking if there is any cd in the drive to boot from.

Yea mine does it as well, and the macbook I had pre-replacement did also
