Backlit keyboard not working

Seems like my backlit keyboard do not work manually. When I press the function button, the backlit logo appear, but I can't change the setting. The only way to make it glow is to put the automated control. Someone got a solution for my problem?

the backlit keyboard will not turn on when there is enough light in your environment.

Try covering the light sensor (it's next to the webcam), now use the keys to adjust the brightness. That's how it is suppose to work.
