How far into the 90s? I mean, you gotta kick Rob Base in that era, but the 90s were really Biggie and Tupac's time... which I'm guessing isn't what you had in mind.

1990 - It Takes Two by Rob Base
1990 - Joy & Pain by Rob Base (It Takes Two got more pop radio play, but I think this is the real hip-hop classic)
1993 - I Got A Man by Positive K
1996 - Crush On You by Lil' Kim

Also I'm kinda surprised you'd make a list like that without Run D.M.C. appearing anywhere?

I should have mentioned that this list is mostly from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. To be perfectly honest: I dislike rap. But yesterdays rap is pretty awesome! I don't like this new stuff that everyone is listing to.

I agree. Joy & Pain is the better tune. A lot more "fun."

You know, this would actually be a good use for Genius on iTunes, also. :D

(I actually didn't think much of the feature at first, and now I find myself using it a lot!)

I would add N.W.A. in there, and also the individuals of N.W.A., Ice Cube, Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, and MC Ren, . That's some pretty classic gangster rap.
