So i got my macbook about a week ago and i was reading the side of it and it said it supports up to 2gigs of ram?? its an old macbook (13 months old) and it came with tiger origanally and was later upgraded. is this simillar to the new macbook pros (where the machine could take 4 gigs but back in tiger it could only support 2?)

So basically my questions is, will my 13 months old macbook running 10.5.5 support 4gigs of ram? (2X2?)

Have you read the owner's manual or looked at Apple's specifications page (http://support.apple.com/kb/SP500)? They state 2 x 2 GB of DDR3-1066 RAM for a total of 4 GB.

alright so after looking at the tech specs the mid 2007 model doesn't support over 2gig and later 2007 model supported 4 gigs :(.

is 13 months old mid or later 2007 lol? so 13 months ago is mid septemeber. so septemeber is month 9. so is the 9th month mid or later?
