Ticking sounds with my External Drive?

when i read/write i can start hearing my external drive now (see sig for model)
but im assuming this sound got more obvious overtime due to dust, etc..
is there anyway i can dust this thing out and get it 'quiet' again?
 
Take the external case apart, and clean the inside with compressed air and a toothbrush. 🙂

It might also be worth running a diagnostic, as the drive may becoming suspect.
