iPhone Apps question

Hello all..
I was wondering if the apps that connects online will store some kind of cache...
if so, where can you clear it?

I want to do some maintenance with my iPhone like clearing up some cache and stuff once in a while...make the phone run fast...
Is that the right thing to do?

Don't worry about things like that. The cache kept by the phone is rather insignificant. However, if you want, go into Settings>Safari>Clear Cache
