iPhone 3G v2.1 slow sync with iTunes 8

I am having a very long sync experience, these are my settings:
Manually manage music and videos
Sync Address Book contacts: All contacts
Sync iCal calendars: All calendars, Do not sync events older than 30 days
Sync Safari Bookmarks
Sync all episodes of All podcasts: only 6 podcasts subscribed
Sync all applications

What should I change to make it faster?

It's not about what you have syncing, it's about how much data needs moved and backed up and what type of USB interface you are using (1.1 vs. 2.0). If you are moving lots of podcast episodes or apps or whatever, then it will take a while no matter what.
