This may be a dumb question, but can I use Pwnage to create my custom firmware for my iPod Touch, and then just put my wife's iPod Touch in restore mode and apply that firmware to it?
I guess what I'm asking is "Does the Pwnage tool take any info from the iPod Touch that makes it specific to that device?"
Thanks!

Yes ... I'm pretty sure that will work. But not 100% sure.
I would just create a custom firmware for her device, just to be safe.
Or upgrade to 2.1 and jailbreak hers with quickpwn.

the firmware can be used on as many devices as many times as you want to, the firmware is built before your device is touched all pwnage tool does is make the firmware accessable once applied to the iPod for such things as accessing the file system to manually upload apps or themes and use cydia to install stuff, nothing pwnage tool does is specific to your ipod.

Thanks for the replies.
For those that care, I ended up just running Pwnage again (QucikPwn didn't work for me).
All is well, and now people at work want to do it to their iPods as well!
Thanks again!
