I'm going to Canada in December and may be buying a macbook there as it's cheaper than in the UK. I was just wondering what kind of student discount they offer in Canada - do you get the 3 year warranty like you do in the UK HE store? Also would they give the discount to a student of a British university?

Thanks for any help

I bought the MacBook with the student discount and all I got was 100$ off the 2.4GHz version. I think the discount was only 50$ for the 2.0GHz. To get the 3 year warranty, you'd have to buy Apple Care as the student discount doesn't include it.

Will they give me the student discount even though I'm not a canadian student?

You have to be a student of a recognized Canadian school, I checked it a few days ago when I went to buy my current MacBook, but the $50 off really isn't that big a deal any way to cut it.
