Question about Firewire

In preparation for buying a new Mac Pro, I have a question about firewire.

I was reading that on the old MacBook Pro, the FW400 and FW800 ports were on the same bus, so if you plug in a FW400 device then your FW800 devices will run at FW400 speeds.

Is this also true on the Mac Pro or do they have separate buses for FW400 and FW800?

Sounds like from this article http://developer.apple.com/documentation/HardwareDrivers/Conceptual/HWTech_FireWire/Articles/FireW_implementation.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40003892-SW1_1200331173 that the 4 firewire ports are on the same bus.

Yeah but you can ad a PCI Express Firewire Card that would use a different bus.
