The story seems to be at the "we're the first to report it because we put a headline on msnbc.com but we haven't written an article yet" mode.
In a sad sort of way an Obama win might create Secret Service jobs... ...
Edit: Oh here's a more informative link now...

It sounds like this is "old news" but the files have been opened to the public as of today. The people have already had one court appearance.

Honestly though, I have been fearing this, Obama has a really huge threat and even more after he gets elected to office.

Damn religious racists right wingers and these neo-nazis. I'm ok with expressing religion but assassinations?! They are the people who should be deported, put in Guantanomo or whatever. I'm okay with that.

Wow, I'm glad it was thwarted.
This was interesting:
The numbers 88 and 14 are symbolic in the white supremacist community.
I had to look it up (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourteen_Words). Of course this post will probably make me get made fun of again for defending the idea that the term Bush Doctrine had been used ambiguously to refer to different things at different times. :o

While I agree they should be taken seriously, there's a difference between being racially motivated in doing something like this, and being bullied buy various cliques at school to the point where they responded.
Not that I agree with Klebold and company's actions, but just to note there is a difference. They could have been talked down/out of it. People can't change their skin colour.

I am not wanting him to be shot either, despite what people take from my post's and rewriting, or misinterpret, I am not racist. I also definitely think it's redonk that people are wanting to be a supremacist, much less over a race....

Why am I not surprised that someone here tried to turn this into a partisan issue against conservatives/Republicans? Wow.
How can people be so blinded by their own bias? Would you like a list of liberal "terrorists" to be posted here? Heck, we could probably even find some that have "associations" with Mr. Obama. ;)
The difference is... that I KNOW there are sick wackos on all sides, and you seem to think that every "great leader" is a lefty, and every crazy is a "radical right wing" waiting to tear them down.

Nazism has very little to do with socialism and zip-nada-zero in common with social democracy. Hitler built his Frankenstein's monster of an ideology out of spare parts from both political wings. He formed most of his alliances on the political right, that's why nazism is referred to as an extreme right wing position.
Some of the key elements of Nazism were...
Anti-parliamentarism
racism
antisemitism
anti-communism
totalitarianism
In other words, Hitler had a lot in common with neo-cons and theo-cons in the GOP:
Anti-parliamentarism (big government suxxorz!!)
racism (proudly suppressin' the black vote since 1863!)
antisemitism (Ann Coulter: "Jews need to be perfected")
anti-communism (Damn those commie pinkos!)
totalitarianism (Big Brother Is Watching)

Oh boy, you really are clueless.
National Socialists ≠ socialists.
In fact, National Socialists oppose communism and socialism probably as much as you right-wingers do. When Hitler took power in Germany, he had framed the communists in the bombing of the parliament building (the name escapes me at this moment) and persecuted it's leading members. In fact, the Nazis saw the USSR as a bigger "threat" than any of the Western powers. When the allies were closing in on Berlin, the German troops abandoned the fight in the West and put all of their efforts into holding off the USSR, hoping that the American would capture Berlin rather than the Soviets.
You ought to do some research before you post anything. It isn't very difficult.
EDIT: Just would like to add that George Lincoln Rockwell (founder of American Nazi Party) was a big fan of McCarthyism. Socialists weren't fans of McCarthyism.

It was originally posted as a light-hearted jab / joke. However, now that you've attacked it, I went ahead and investigated further by reading through their talking points (I know, I'm about ready to throw-up right now:( ) and on economic points, I think it's very hard to say they are NOT liberal and/or socialist. Here are a few obvious examples:
All citizens shall have equal rights and duties, regardless of class or station.
We demand the nationalization of all businesses which have been formed into corporations (trusts).
The creation of a livable wage;
We demand the creation and maintenance of a healthy middle class, the immediate communalizing of big department stores and their lease at a cheap rate to small traders, and that the utmost consideration shall be shown to all small trades in the placing of state and municipal orders.
The primary land reform will be to ensure all members of the nation receive affordable housing.
However, we support the passing of a law for the expropriation of land for communal purposes without compensation when deemed necessary for land illegally acquired, or not administered in accordance with the national welfare.
On social issues, (all issues really) they're just plain CRAZY. I think the policies are far to deformed to say they are "on the right" or "on the left".

Huh? That's a few, and I'd hardly call them all liberal. The rest of that crazy list is extremely right wing, however. If you want me to go pick and choose like you just did, I will. The list is a lot longer. That said- the consequences of extremes of either kind are loss of freedoms. It's all about balance. And right now, we're extremely out of balance.

Right, and furthermore we weren't talking about the original German nazis, we were talking about current day American white supremacists and neo-nazis, and these guys don't have a clue about nazi ideology, and they sure as sh** aren't socialists. Most of the neo-Nazis I've had the displeasure of interacting with are -- shall we say -- a few tacos short of a combination plate. Not that there aren't smart and very hateful people among them, but your average white supremacist is just not that bright. Still plenty dangerous though.
Expect to see a resurgence among the white supremacists, and their close allies, the militia movement if Obama takes power. These folks did not go away when Clinton left office, they just were placated by Bush and his ilk for 8 years.
They'll be back, and in greater numbers. (See, I can quote old geek movies too! ;) )
