Saving a file to another directory

Say you get an email with an attachment that you want to save and use File, Save As, you change to name and hit the where tab.
At this point, I can't drill down to find the right folder, only the recent places (that only show three)
Is there a way to move to the right folder, or show more than 3 recent places?
 
Click on the blue arrow at the top right corner of the save menu (see attachment).

FYI, chilipie: Did you know you can use Preview to draw circles on images? By the way, your signature is hysterical! 😀
