I saw a listing for 50 dollars, 2x2gb=4gb, I want it for my macbook, with only 1 gb of ram, anyone link me to the best ram I could get at the best price, I don't know which one is compatible or not. Thanks in advance.

Which Macbook?

In most cases it's this RAM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231135).

Well it's not on newegg.com, but Fry's has 4gb Crucial brand RAM for 39.99 after rebate. https://shop1.frys.com/product/5503990?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG It was cheaper last week but it's still a pretty good price, you can wait and see if it comes down again though.

I bought this RAM @ Newegg:

It was $52 and free shipping last week, seems to have gone up. It works like a charm.

I ordered mine at almost midnight Monday and got them on Thurs. Stop
contemplating and order it, it'll be there before you know it ;-) You're not
going to find that cheap at a B&M (Brick & Mortar type business/local store).
Newegg has always came through for me.
