iPod ipod won't show up in itunes after

I reformatted my ipod to work with my pc.

Before i reformatted it, it would so up in itunes and say ipod needs to be restored.

now it won't even show up..

my ipod is a 3rd gen classic as stated in my sig... i'm new to windows so i'm lost.
