Just received my 2G unlocked iPhone.
Need to insert my T-MO SIM, but cannot get the top SIM tray open.

What trick am I missing?

Thanks,

Jeff

or saftey pin those really small ones

what you gotta do is put it in the hole and push it firmly not fast and strong just slowly and firmly till you feel the click and the slot pops out (you wont be needing a lot of force like opening a jar of pickles)

OK, thanks. I got the tray out and now have the T Mob SIM in the iPhone.

I'm getting an emergency call screen only and it shows a graphic indicating I should connect my iPhone to iTunes to activate, I guess.

Is that the next step? Don't want to brick the phone.

It is impossible to brick an iPhone, just restore if anything goes wrong. :)

So, you are saying to connect iPhone to iTunes (with the T-Mobile SIM inserted) and activate?

Do you have an unlocked phone?

Well, it is supposed to be, but I am afraid it is not.
