im kinda new to this whole x11+ os x thing
*only just converted to mac*. :) ive used linux a lil back with windowz so i was just wondering if any one knew of any tutorials which explain the how x11 works on a mac in a lil more detail.
or how i can learn about running linux appz on a mac .... im curious:confused:

Basically it's just like it is in Linux - either type the application name from the command line (using Terminal, iTerm, or some other terminal app) or else from clicking on a graphical shortcut you've set up.

The main thing to remember is that you've got to launch X11 - it's not running by default. But in Linux that's basically the case (although with the newer desktop-oriented distros you can make it the default).
