Dinovo Edge Mac Edition Problems

I just got the Logitech Dinovo Edge Mac Edition about 2 days ago and it seems the Itunes buttons don't work when Itunes isn't the active window. Is it my keyboard or is there a fix?

And also, is it possible to have the f9,f10,f11,f12 buttons working without hitting the fn button? When I try and modify what the key f12 does, it allows me to have it work without fn, but search still comes up. Any way to stop this?

I just got mine today and when I am using iTunes and it's not active, I can click play and it works just fine.

Also, I haven't figured out if you can have it to where certain F# buttons work without having to press FN also. There is only that option in the "general options" for the Logitech Control that makes it to where all the F1, F2, etc, are just F# buttons instead of application buttons.
