Anyone know how Transmission compares to Xtorrent? I've heard of people using that...

Begin repeat of yet another tread about BitTorrent..

BitTorrent is just a protocol or a method of data transmission. It can be used for legal or illegal purposes, but there are many legitimate uses for it.

Examples:

1) Updating Ubuntu.

2) Downloading Linux ISOs such as Ubuntu

3) Downloading content that is in the public domain or that is freely available such as game updates. (Search Google)

I'll let someone more knowledgeable in OS X BitTorrent clients answer specifically, but not everything is copyright infringement.

I don't think I've used Xtorrrent, but this Wikipedia page might be useful for comparing features.

stick to transmission it's simple and works well!

Why is this in the Apple TV forum?

Anyway, Transmission is the best torrent application on the Mac in my opinion. It is lightweight and works perfectly for me. Just takes ages to quit.
