I have a USB hard drive plugged into an Airport Extreme Base Station (older fast ethernet model), that houses all my music.
Using my Mac Pro, I connect wired. Using my MacBook Pro, I connect wirelessly.
This system has been working for well over a year, and suddenly it stopped working yesterday. It seems to work intermittently. If I power everything off and start it up again, I can usually get it to work for 15 minutes, then it konks out again. Sometimes, even when it's not working, it shows up in Airport Utility and I can manage everything just fine. But it doesn't show up in my Shared sidebar, like it normally does.
This is actually part of a dual-band network using 2 AEBS routers. There is a hard drive plugged into the newer AEBS too, and it works just fine.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
