Windows, help installing + legal help

ive had trouble getting hold of windows discs to replace the ones i bought (They have a serious scratch). luckily my friend has the .iso file and i now have this on my computer. could i just burn this on to a CD and boot of it and is it legal if I install it, baring in mind i'll be using my own purchased serial key?

it should not be a problem as long as you own license and use it.
since you are using your product and not your friends, its okay. it's not illegal, as far as i know.

Yea that's fine dude. Just make sure you burn it on the slowest possible speed with Disk Utility to make sure it doesn't get corrupted.
