I have this really great scanner I used to use with my PC but I hate to get rid of it and have to buy a new one. "If it ain't broke, why try to fix it?"

I don't know if there is one, but I'd doubt it. Anyways, it might be cheaper to just buy a new scanner, even if you did find one. I know what you're saying about "if it ain't broke, why try to fix it" though. Good luck.

Ah, thanks, Poopyhead. (Why do I feel mean when I type that?)
Anywho, this may be the answer to my problems, and the price isn't so bad. Only problem is I dunno if compatible drivers for my scanner would be available.
Gah. My art has been suffering due to lack of a scanner. ;)

things like this can be easily found with a SEARCH.
stop being lazy, do something for yourself, rather than ask other to do it for you.
simple google search (http://www.google.com/search?q=usb+to+parallel+converter&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8) - only 96,000 responses.

It's not so much as being lazy as it is out of those thousands of results, how many are compatible with the Mac?
I'm guessing not many. I figured if I asked here someone would possibly have used one before and could give me a personal recommendation.

then why don't you ask that? nowhere in your first post did you ask for a mac compatible converter.
you simply asked: Is there such a thing as a parrallel to USB converter?

None of the USB to Parrallel adapters that I have been able to find on the web or in any of my catalogs works with any device other than printers, and even then, very few seem to work with the Mac.

there is.
ask your local apple store/center.
if your printer wnt work with them - try gimp-print - worked for my dads old EPSON Stylus Color II.
