Bit more expensive than I was hoping for but bought them anyway. There were over 50 so it's less than $10/vid - that's how I rationalized it anyway.

I would guess it's much less expensive to buy the videos then to go there (airfare, hotel, tickets, etc.). Plus you can rewatch the videos.

How are you finding the videos in terms of how useful they are ?

Bit of a mixed bag. Most presenters very professional and impressive, strike the right tone. Some have insufferable personalities. Some are inappropriately causal for a conference.
Overall somewhat concerned. I moved to Objective-C from Java due to API bloat. The whole philosophy of C is to avoid bloat, so I was hoping Objective-C (as a superset) would carry that philosophy to OO space. But watching these presentations, Apple do not seem to agree.

What is inappropriately casual? I have been to a few developer conferences. Out of all of them, the best sessions that I walked away with a better understanding of the subject were the very casual presenters that bring a sense of fun to the discussion. The stuffy suit and tie presenters were almost always a snoozer.
I have found from my experiences that the very casual types are the better spoken ones that don't drive you nuts with 'ummmm' every other sentence and give off a sense of confidence in themselves. They project themselves and their voices drawing your attention.

That's fine, I mean I guess it's a matter of personal preference. My favorite kind of presenter is the fast talker who treats the audience like professionals (i.e. doesn't review the basics for the Nth time that day) and is friendly but not "your friend." Who wants to teach you instead of impress you.

Yeah. I was really just curoius what you meant my inappropriatly casual. One of my favorite presenters gave a session once wearing a big cat in the hat style hat with tiger stripes. Despite that, he presented the material vey well and made the session the best one at the conference. :p
