Airport Extreme + Mybook = not working!

I tried connecting my 500 GB MyBook external to the Airport Extreme Base station and the drives don't show up on my Macbook! 😡 Is there is a troubleshooting guide for this?
 
because its not one of "your" devices, it one of your "extreme's" devices. you can just make an alias on your desktop.🙂
