Alternative devices for iMac

Any advise on TV-Tuner for iMac? Which is the best?
Need some tips. And what about tv-tuner soft? Any hints?

I've seen a few for the mac, but not recently. They were all in the $100+ range, and didn't look all that impressive. Since you can't pop in a PCI card into your iMac, you'd have to use an external device. Probably most tuners would be mostly external hardware, and minimal software. If I were you, I'd get a video input interface, and plug a normal TV into it.
