does the sim simulate how powerful the actual iphone is, or does it have all the RAM it needs that my computer has to offer?

The iPhone Simulator simulates a device with far more memory, and also is much much faster (neighborhood of 3X to 12X) than the actual device.

Use Instruments to check an apps memory usage (should be well under 20 MB max to be safe) and make sure you have tons of performance headroom.

Hi fireWood,
Do I need to check #Net or #Overall Object Allocation in the Instrument for testing memory. The safest 20MB is for the #Overall or #Net ALLOCATIONS.
