I just got a hold of Portal, but I'm having an odd issue with it: The game will not draw everything. Sometimes the boxes are invisible, and I just got to the level with the little motion sensing machinegun bots, but all I can see are their laser sensors, I can't see the bots themselves. I've tried changing the video settings, lowering the resolution, or details, but no luck.
I'm on a MacBook running OSX 10.5.5 with 2GB RAM and a 2GHz Core 2 Duo.
Any ideas?

Is this on the GMA 950, GMA X3100, or the 9400M G?

Sorry, forgot there were new MacBooks out. It's an older one: Intel GMA 950.

You might want to try the latest video drivers from Intel. The GMA 950 has random success playing Source based games.

I'm not running Portal in Windows, I'm running it in OSX straight.

No Crossover, No virtual machine, No Parallels, No Bootcamp, No Windows at all. I'm running Portal for OSX.

That's impossible. There's no such thing as Portal for OS X.

That's it. Portal, of the Orange Box. Native in OSX as a Cider port. Info says:
"Cider 5.3 Mac experimental Transgaming Technologies Inc. 2006"

Never mind, finally found the answer elsewhere. Apparently the short draw distance is a known issue. The game isn't even supposed to work on this chipset anyway. Oh well, I guess I'll have to go with BootCamp.
Thanks anyway guys

Ah, did you run it through a copy of Cider to see if you could play it natively? But yeah, not much point in playing it on the GMA 950 anyhow.
