mail from terminal

If you use mail command on the terminal to send mail, its not working out for hotmail. It sends to yahoo, but not hotmail.
Anyone knows the reason?

Reverse DNS lookups I suppose. Which SMTP server do you use to send? If you are using your own computer, and aren't the MX handling mail for your domain, you're likely to get blocked.

I bet AOL won't accept it either.
