Question re transfer of Applecare

Hi all

I have just bought a new MBP (am waiting for it to come!!!) but just wondering...my gf is a uni (masters) student and she can potentially get applecare for this new laptop for a much cheaper price.

Is there any problems with her buying applecare for my laptop? does it still work if the applecare is edu discounted and my laptop is full price?

So there wouldnt be a problem if i contacted apple with regards to any problems with the MBP...or does my gf have to contact apple ?
 
When you buy AC, you get a box with a registration #. Until you register it, Apple has no idea who bought it.
