iPod touch local TV news to Ipod touch 2g - any way to do this easy?

I am looking for a program that will take the local news cast which is over at 7am (as recorded to my pc using "pctv hd stick pro") from .mpeg-2 and process it to a MP4 format on its own every morning by 8am. That way I can just wake up and sync it to my IPod Touch before I head out the door.

Is this possible or am I just dreaming?

i don't know if iSquint and an Applescript would do this??😕
I don't use either so probably not the best to answer. I've heard of iSquint being used to convert movies, but i don't know if it works with your source format.
